BC’s infamous Romulan line was initially brought into the commercial seed market in the late 1990’s by Romulan Joe and Vic High. Both held different Romulan clones that came from the same area of Vancouver Island. Romulan Joe had a a more squat indica looking clone and Vic’s was a taller more sativa leaning clone. Romulan Joe sold his clone to Next Generation Seeds who developed that version into several Romulan seed lines which were widely sold world wide via the seed bank Marc Emery ran out of the front of Cannabis Culture magazine. Vic High worked his more sativa Romulan into several seed lines under his BC Growers Association seed company which were distributed via Richard Calrisian’s company Heaven’s Stairway Seeds until early 2000’s when Vic became concerned he was the target of a DEA investigation into the seed sales and dropped from public forever, followed not long after by Richard’s arrest and the take down of Heaven’s Stairway and the accompanying websites owned by Richard, overgrow.com and cannabisworld.com. Two decades later the clone known as “Vic High Romulan” mysteriously appeared in BC, supposedly held all these years later by a member of Vic’s old grow crew who either passed away or moved, letting out the clone she had held onto all these years. It is unclear if the clone is actually Vic’s Romulan clone or one of the hybrids he developed from it. Maybe one day it’s lineage will become more clear but for now we offer it with the name Vic High Romulan and the disclaimer that most believe it to be not Vic’s true original Romulan cutting but one of his prized hybrids of it.
